Animation

line experimentation

Some of Melrouss's animations were created during her studies at Concordia University, primarily utilizing under-camera techniques. One notable work, "Saturation," was crafted entirely with gouache on glass using a light table.

Melrouss has a deep appreciation for under-camera techniques due to the unique aesthetic and texture they provide, as well as the human touch inherent in the medium. The use of paint and watercolors introduces a sense of beauty and imperfection; in animation, this translates to embracing the organic errors that arise over countless frames.

Animation is a true passion for Melrouss, who enjoys collaborating with fellow creatives who share a similar enthusiasm for exploring and representing reality through drawing.
