Bio
Melrouss is a freelance animator, compositor and tattoo artist with extensive experience on projects for the National Film Board of Canada, including "Maybe Elephants" by Torill Kove and "Harvey" by Janice Nadeau.
In addition to her animation work, she is a tattoo artist at L'Amoureuse studio in Ville Marie, where she has been developing her practice since 2021. Her illustrative style predominantly features women, showcasing her unique artistic vision.
She holds a degree in Animation from Concordia University, where she honed her skills in various animation techniques, specializing in under-the-camera animation. During her studies, she served as Co-Director for the 47th edition of the Concordia Film Festival, overseeing the festival's first online iteration. Additionally, she was elected as the animation representative for the Cinema Student Alliance, contributing to the development of the student community. She graduated in 2021.
In 2019, she was a student jury member at Les Sommets du Cinéma d'Animation, a prominent animation festival in Montréal. She has received several accolades, including the Pembroke Wealth Management Scholarship and the Cinema Scholarship from the Fondation de Soutien aux Arts de Laval, both awarded in 2019.
